Yes, went to check that area out, and ended up mostly seeing Pinehurst, north of Northgate Way. Maple Leaf is to the south of the Mall and is a bit more structured layout wise than Pinehurst. Once I find a home, get an offer, and it's inspected and accepted, I get the letter of preapproval, and the entire process of the loan is 30 days, closing is about 3 business days, so very fast turnaround, once I've found a place.

No news on the mortgage or from Met Life, though I did hear back late in the day. they needed a few things like the last 4 of my social, my date of birth and the name on the insurance it was issued to (me), I also gave them my late father's name as the person who bought it for me at the time.
